KitchenYeah.com B.V. (hereinafter referred to as “we”, “us” or “KitchenYeah”) respects the privacy of visitors and users of its websites, as well as the privacy of customers who place an order via our (affiliated) website(s). This policy explains what information we collect from you as a customer in connection with the use of our websites and how we use and protect this information.
1. Scope
This privacy and cookie policy applies to every website visit, transaction and agreement made via a website. All information, including your personal data, that we collect about you during your visit and/or use of our website is handled in accordance with this policy and the purposes described herein. This privacy and cookie policy does not apply to websites of other companies that contain a link to our website or to which our website links.
2. Data We Collect
KitchenYeah enables you to create personalised photo products such as photo canvases and photo prints on wood online and to have your order shipped to an address of your choice. In the course of our services, we may collect your data in two ways:
Data you provide: KitchenYeah collects data you provide, such as your email address and password when you register as a new customer and create an account. We also collect your order details, such as your name, (delivery and billing) address, phone number and payment details when you place an order with us (and, if the order is sent to someone else, the name and address of the recipient for whom the order is intended), as well as any uploaded files such as photos used in or on our products. Your email address is used to send you the order confirmation. If you participate in our competitions or provide feedback, for example by writing a product review, personal data will also be collected. In addition to creating an account, we may also collect your email address separately when you subscribe to our newsletter via the website.
Data we automatically collect: KitchenYeah also collects data obtained through your use of our services, your visit to our website and possibly other websites accessible from our website. For example, we collect your IP address and the type of browser you use, as well as the pages you visit, the date and time of your visit or use, and how you use our website.
3. How We Use Your Data
Your data may be used for the following purposes:
Acceptance, processing and fulfilment of your order: We use your data to process, fulfil, produce and ship your order to the address you provide. We also use your data to keep you informed about the progress of your order. We pass your data to other companies that perform certain services on our behalf. Examples include: an external supplier who manufactures your order; a shipping service such as DHL to deliver your order; online payment providers such as MultiSafepay, iDEAL or PayPal to process your (credit card) payment; service providers for sending emails or other forms of customer communication; marketing analysis companies to analyse our data or remove duplicate entries from our database; and customer service.
Account management: You can create your own account on our website. In this account we store, among other things, your name, (delivery and billing) address, phone number and email address. We also keep information about your previous orders so you can more easily find, view, share or reorder your products.
Direct marketing, co-branding offers and newsletters: We may use your data for direct marketing purposes, to send you commercial information or offers about our products and services by email, direct mail, telephone (including SMS and push notifications) or other media. This information or these offers may also be created in cooperation with a partner company or an affiliated company on a “co-branding” basis and may include products or services from that third party. You can sign up for our newsletter, which is sent by email or direct mail. This keeps you informed of special offers and our new or additional products and services. If you no longer wish to receive commercial information such as our newsletter, you can inform us at any time via our customer service. In the case of our commercial emails, simply click the unsubscribe link at the bottom of the message.
Reviews and comments: We value your experiences with our website and, of course, our products. To write customer reviews about a KitchenYeah product, we use external service providers such as Feedbackcompany. If you wish to leave a review about our product, Feedbackcompany collects personal data about you. If you leave us a review, for example via an external service provider such as Feedbackcompany, social media or our customer service, we may use such a review (or part of it) for any purpose, provided we do not associate your review with your name or other personal data. Only with your prior and explicit consent will we use your review (or part of it) together with your name (or other personal data) you have provided.
Promotions and competitions: If you participate in a promotion or competition, we may ask you for your name, address, telephone number or email address, and you may also share other materials such as photos. With this information we can carry out the promotion or competition, inform the winner(s) that they have won and, after obtaining the relevant consent, announce the names of the winner(s) via our website, newsletter and/or social media.
Maintenance, statistical analysis and service improvement: We constantly strive to improve our services. For this purpose, we use third-party analytical software such as Google Analytics. This software places cookies to collect general visitor data and provides us with reports on how our services are used. In this context, we collect data via the website such as your computer’s IP address, the date and time of your visit or use, your browser, which products you have viewed or designed and which features of the editor you have used. KitchenYeah may also engage third parties for the purposes mentioned above, during which personal data may be processed as part of your information. These partner companies, service providers or other (sub)processors they engage may be located in countries outside the European Union, and your data may therefore be transferred to countries outside the EU. In the event of a transfer to a country that does not provide an adequate level of protection, KitchenYeah will only transfer the data if the recipient agrees to comply with the EU Standard Contractual Clauses for the transfer of personal data in accordance with the European Commission’s decision of 5 February 2010 (2010/87/EU) or, in the case of a company established in the United States, applies the EU-US Privacy Shield regime. In addition, we retain your data in accordance with the applicable statutory retention periods.
4. Sharing with Third Parties
We only share your data with third parties in accordance with the provisions mentioned above. This is done solely for the purposes described in this policy or for related purposes. Our employees and any third parties we engage are required to maintain the confidentiality of your data and the contents of this policy. KitchenYeah will only provide your personal data to third parties if we have obtained your explicit prior consent, are legally obliged to do so, or in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or similar occurrence.
5. Security of Your Data
KitchenYeah handles your data, including personal data, with the utmost care.
We have implemented various technical and organisational measures to prevent the loss of or unauthorised access to your personal data.
Each photo product and all stored images, photos or other uploaded content are protected by your unique email address and password. Other users cannot view the products and content you have created unless they have both login details. For this reason, we recommend that you choose a strong password and do not share it with others.
6. Cookies
Cookies are small files that are sent via your browser with the pages of our website and stored on your computer, tablet, phone or other devices during your visit. We use cookies to optimise your user experience during your visit or use of our services via the website.
